Riding EVa3x3 (6kW) Prototype on Muriwai Beach

This is a bit of a history now... As a hobby during lockdown I have designed/built an electric scooter with 3 motors/wheels (as on the above photo) and tested it on Muriwai (Northern end) beach where it is allowed to ride vehicles or cross road bikes.

Crossing over the sandy dunes on this beach where not all 4x4 cars or utes can is simply possible for me due to a low ground impact of the 3 wide/soft tires (fitted on all EVa eTrikes) plus the high power of her electric motors.

However, NZ road registration of EVa3x3 with 6kW total power of the electric motors would fall under a Trike Motorcycle category unlike EVa3x2 (4kW) eTrike Moped. In the near future, we will consider upgrading our current model into NZ road registered eTrike Motorcycle.      

Currently we sell EVa3x2 eTrike (three-wheel scooter) allowing you to travel on any road or a beach (where it is legal to ride) because this powerful and stable Light Electric Vehicle can be NZ road registered as a moped (max speed 45km/h).    

EVa is an easy to use, eco-friendly with zero emissions, helps to sustain the environment.
